It includes details of all training for Section Leaders and Assistant Section Leaders within the scheme. This document reflects the changes to the training scheme launched in January 2017.
Section Leader Training - How Does the Scheme Work?
To ensure that young people experience good quality Scouting, The Scout Association requires each adult in Scouting to demonstrate a range of knowledge, skills and attitudes that are relevant to your Scouting role. Adult training is provided for adults to gain these. The range of skills The Scout Association expects of people in different roles is described in a number of modules, which together make up the Adult Training Scheme.
There are 38 modules in total and different roles require a different selection of modules to be completed. This guide only refers tothe compulsory and optional modules relevant to those taking on appointments as Section Leaders or Assistant Section Leaders.
